Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress best known for playing Bo on The Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was made in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. The daughter of Peter an academic and Ilkay Silk, an acclaimed actor, director, producer, playwright and director of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of the first moments in her existence, such as watching and participating in rehearsals of stage plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials while she was young. In 1997, she graduated with a bachelor's degree at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two productions in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved from Toronto in November 1999 to Los Angeles California to pursue her career as an actor. Seth Cooperman is her future partner, which she discovered at the time of her meeting in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. They were engaged the year 2009 and wed at a civil wedding ceremony in December of the same year. They renewed their vows on April 10th 2011 at Fredericton with a Jewish wedding ceremony following Silk's made the decision to convert to Judaism. Silk gave birth to a son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second baby boy was born in May 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica and she won an Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. She landed a principal role in the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus, in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant while shooting the final season of the third season. The actress announced her pregnancy to the viewers in the Showcase Season Three pre-show special on 6 January 2013. Silk revealed via Twitter, on 20 June 2013, that production had begun on Season 4. In June of 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures confirmed the beginning of production for Season 4, which will air in the fourth season. CNN's Cable News Network named her performance as Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples one of their all-time favorite television Couples. E! named the couple as the top TV Couple in 2013. Entertainment Television. Because of the popularity of the show, Silk has garnered a prominent presence on social media.
